WHAT YOU NEED TO ENTER

BASIC TERMS

Please read our Terms carefully. You will be required to accept these terms prior to entering work on the submission site.

Fees are $45.00 from April 1 – April 30 and $65.00 from May 1 – May 31. Submissions close May 31, 2015.

IMPORTANT! Submissions must include full length films. Once you enter, your film is kept private, only for the judges to see. Password-protected films are OK.

Should you become one of the top 5 nominees, the public will vote to choose a winner using materials you provide us. We recommend that nominated films be viewable via a public URL between June 20 and August 31, 2015; however, it is not required. For films in the festival circuit, you can provide a trailer, scene, other video clip or just imagery for the voting site. In other words, what we show publicly is up to you and what you feel best represents your work. Learn more about our process.

Judging Criteria

Films will be judged on the following criteria:

  • Quality of content: Script/story, creativity, coherence
  • Production excellence: Directing, cinematography, visual production, sound design/music, editing and overall use of effects (if applicable). Films do not require effects.
  • Overall impression: Did your film affect our judges or produce an emotional response? Is it evident that heart went into the creation of this work?

Note: We’ve had films with lower budgets do well when the stories and overall execution of the film impressed or touched the judges (comedy or drama).
