Giant Mushrooms

“Giant Mushrooms” is a sci-fi music video by Erin Hill & her Psychedelic Harp. The music video for her song “Giant Mushrooms” is a song with a story, like a little four-and-a-half minute Twilight Zone episode set to a pop tune. The video is set in the 1950’s, during the Golden Age of Science Fiction, and takes inspiration from Ray Bradbury, David Bowie, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, Village of the Damned, and the music of the psychedelic era, among other influences.

“Giant Mushrooms” was an Official Selection and Nominee at Dragon*Con 2012, where Erin and her band were also featured performers. Erin’s band uses an electric harp as the main instrument and Erin is proud to be in the same company as that other great sci-fi harpist: Mr. Spock!
