Jason Satterlund is the award winning producer/director and owner Big Puddle Films, a full service film production company established in 2001.
Satterlund has been writing and working on films for over 25 years. He has extensive experience in all areas of production including directing, writing,producing, cinematography, and editing. He currently resides in Portland, Oregon, where he produces commercials, documentaries, music videos, and feature films.
Early on he developed a skill as a storyteller and this took him around the world on projects as diverse as filming underwater sea life in the tropics, high end political candidates in the United States and Russia,street children in third world countries, and top country music artists in Nashville, TN. He is the only person ever to conduct a night shoot in the ancient city of Petra, and the first person in America to use film lenses on an HD camera.
Satterlund has done extensive work for clients such as Warner Brothers, The National Republican Party, Bon Jovi, Adventist Health,CNN,Rotary Club, O’Charley’s, Shoney’s Restaurants, YMCA, The Oak Ridge Boys, Word Records, Hallmark Entertainment, ABC, and the country of Jordan.
He is creator and director of the award winning feature film, The Record Keeper, which was accepted into the Raindance Film Festival in London. His short film Splinter Cell Extractionwas nominated for a 2014 Geekie Award and won the Spirit of Comicon Award. It is currently on tour with the Wizard World Film Festival.
