Miskatonic U is the tale of panphobic freshman Winston Coward (Class of 1915) who fears bad grades and speaking to girls far more than the otherworldly horrors regularly unleashed on campus.
It is also the tale of a young alien consciousness named Yithro Gnibbu-F’tathla struggling with Human Behavior studies from beyond our universe.
They have a lot in common.
It’s Revenge of the Nerds as written by H.P. Lovecraft. It’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer set on a 1911 college campus, except no one really knows how to slay demons from another dimension. But within the campus comedy, within the Buffyesque world of Hellmouth escapees, Miskatonic U is most deeply about getting through a time of massive change in your life, when you have to face your first really adult decisions and their consequences.
