Cricket Wheeler - Co-Executive Producer / Channel Content


As President of Encore Streaming Inc, Cricket leads the creative team in working with clients to customize a Channel for streaming on the Web, produce original programming and manage the distribution of content, both live and pre-recorded.

Prior to launching Encore Streaming Inc, Cricket produced the successful live stream broadcast of the AKC/Eukanuba National Championship dog show bringing 1.2 million viewers to the customized Celebrate Dogs Channel and trending on Twitter. As Executive Producer for Procter & Gamble’s two-hour branded entertainment Special on ABC following the live event, she pushed another 300K viewers back to the Streaming Channel for extended coverage and up’d the total viewership to more than 1.5 million, which far exceeded expectations.

Cricket drew on her extensive experience in producing live television shows and events, her knowledge of the client’s marketing objectives, and her understanding of Ustream’s live streaming capabilities to create the successful platform.

At Encore Streaming Inc, Cricket oversees all creative aspects and focuses on creating sponsorship value for branded entertainment produced to stream on the Web. Incorporating the latest marketing strategies available through streaming technologies and social media, Cricket consults with performers, businesses and non-profits to launch their customized streaming Channel, which is offered and managed through Encore Streaming.

Cricket served as Executive Producer for P&G’s sponsored series of competitive dog shows airing on Animal Planet from 2000-2009, at which time she led the shift to a two-hour annual branded entertainment Special airing on ABC for 2010-2012. Throughout her career in television, Cricket produced live or as-live programs for major entertainment companies, including ABC, NBC, Discovery Channel/Animal Planet, Fox News, Tribune Entertainment, Paramount, Dick Clark Productions, The Disney Channel, GSN and Procter & Gamble.

Cricket received an Emmy for her work at Fox News. She graduated from University of Alabama, B.S., Commerce & Business Administration – Concentration in Marketing, cum laude Member (inactive) of the Directors Guild of America.
