Inspired by the last episode of Spartacus: War of the Damed, I decided to make Saxa’s armor and wear it for an italian comic convention, taking place in the last days of July.
I usually make big gowns and fantasy costumes, this time I went for something different.
I used scraps from some leather shops in Florence. The make up process – with fake blood and wounds – was a big part of the making.
I really enjoy wearing this costume! The greatest satisfaction came when the beautiful and lovely actress Ellen Hollman (Saxa) mentioned me in her twitter.
