Alex Wer, known the world over as The Pumpkin Geek, started doing conventions 7 years ago with his amazing & unique creations. He gained immediate exposure after Zachary Quinto tweeted about his work at a Star Trek convention (& bought a Spock carve!). He started carving not only for convention attendees, but many celebrities such as Jeri Ryan, Ming Na, Joe Montegna, Gene Simmons and more.
In 2013, The Pumpkin Geek won the first ever, Geekie Award for Best Art/Craft. After this recognition, Alex went on to appear on Yahoo’s Daytime In No Time, Mark at The Movies, Good Day Sacramento, The Huffington Post & hundreds of blogs around the world.
He was recently hired by Wizard World Comic Con to be their National Sales Manager! His job now consists of finding other geeky talents across the country & helping them get more exposure through Wizard World shows.
